Default Error codes P0037,P1647,P0016,C0700

Hello Everyone,
I have recently bought software and OBD cable and scanned my x type and it read four fault codes: P0037,P1647,P0016,C0700. First of all: software said that my engine light is on, but it was never on on the dashboard! (Has the person who sold me a car wanted this light to be "off" when i was buying it to get more money for it?) Secondly all codes came back after few days of driving after deleting all of them and two codes relate to oxygen sensors and one to cam, or crank shaft sensor. Doesn't it sound weird that two oxygen sensors are failing at the same time and is there any known problem that can cause all three fault codes to come up? So far I have only checked oxygen sensor fuses under the bonnet and they ok and checked this rubber hose next to air inlet pipe for cracks and that's ok too. Please also consider that my cruise control doesn't work at all. Car doesn't show up any bad signs at all, so wish I have never bought this bloody cable and software! Do you have anything in mind please? This is driving me mad, as I can't figure it out. I could buy new cam and crank shaft sensors as they are cheap, but oxygen sensors are expensive, so I'd rather check everything else before spening that sort of money.
Thanks to all in advance and hopefully somebody can help me.

When you start the car does the little orange engine icon light up on the dash? If so, then it is active and should light up when there is an issue. Is your car running fine and you just decided to check if there are any stored codes? Or is there a problem with the drivability. If there is an issue with the cruise control that would show up in the display on the dash that says "cruise not available". That usually has to do with the wheel speed sensor and not specifically with the cruise control. I'm sure someone with a lot more technical expertise than me will be able to help you.

There is a sticky on this forum in the FAQ section that explains all the codes, but I didn't see anything for the P00 codes. Not sure what those are.

Thanks for reply, No - engine icon doesn't come on when I'm about to start the car. I have scanned the car hoping that it will give me any directions to fix cruise control and non working message centre, where little screen on the dash is blank all the time. Now I'm thinking that I coudn't even check the car's mileage when I was buying it - I believed the guy when he showed me recent MOT certificate, where mileage was 103k miles, but he could also pay for dodgy MOT and put any mileage on it. I'm really getting annoyed with all the problems - I love this car , the way it looks and drives, but sorting out all faults seem to be neverending story...

Do any warning lights light up when you are about to start the car? If not, there is definitely something wrong in the dash. I have no idea what would cause that. Hopefully someone else on here can chime in to help, but that and the blank message center is not normal. Could be just something that needs to be replaced and am hoping that it wasn't something done intentionally by the previous owner when selling the car. If it is, you might have some legal recourse.

I'm not an expert also but if you can find a respectable automotive electrician and have him check the wiring harness at the back of your dash, because the seller might have disabled it to hide the warning icons...
