Well since my cats are F**ked, I was wondering if it would be a smarter idea to run highflow cats, that will probaly last longer, and be more cost effective while give me 2-3 hp? any thoughts?

HIgh flow are usually cheaper too, that would be my incentive.

PRECISELY. And on top they are much smaller, more effiecint ( newer design) and maybe i can just straight pipe and hope not sound to rice? The question is o2 sensors, how would i fit those in or should i just let the exhaust shop deal with it?

The stock mufflers would keep the noise down, but it will be louder in the cabin for sure.(we all know how thin the floor is up front) Speaking from experience though, the Jaguar ECU is incredulously finicky, and until we were able to piggyback it & re-write custom maps, I kept throwing codes left and right for "lean conditions." To get more fuel, we installed a regulator, inline gauge and an O2 controller. Now I will admit, when it came to getting the fuel curve correct, I was out of my league, and my close friend who is the proprietor of the shop took the reigns.

This was on my 2002, so newer models may be different. I'm also less-confident in how the ECU will react to high flowing exhaust pulses hitting very restrictive mufflers.... My setup was 2.25" to accommodate limited space with the AWD setup with high-flow bullet-style mufflers. It was LOUD. and does not sound pretty. This particular motor has an interesting firing-order which creates quite a guttural 'gurgle' that I'm not particularly privy to when fully expressed.

And that sounds pretty nice with the cats in place and this is likely still an axle-back only.
Removing the cats and resonator gets ugly.

Always check your states emission laws. There are lots of goofy laws out there that can force you to replace your brand new hi-flows just because they aren't OEM. Personally I'd look for a used OEM set from a junk yard. With high flows you might have to worry about getting O2 errors because the system isn't stock anymore. Good luck and I hope I never have to make that decision.

BTW, that 2-3hp... utterly useless. As a rule of thumb, it takes approx 10hp to lower a 1/4 mile ET 1 tenth of a second. That's .1 seconds in 1320'. You're talking about .025 seconds faster, floored flat out, on a stretch of road you'll probably never find without real danger involved. In other words, if hi-flo's cost more than stock or used, walk away.
