Thats obsurd man. I called on mine but I was a little over the 50k you have to have and they said no go. So I asked say I had 49999 and they said it would be about 2k. Call like 1800 jag/don't know what he number is exactly. You can also email jag with your vin number and mileage and they'll help you out. You are still covered under the factory warranty until 4 years after car was titled or 50k miles whichever comes first. I've heard that it only costs around 1500 bucks so that 3400 is crazy. Also if you bought this car at a jag dealer it should automatically come with the 6 year 100k mile warranty just for purchasing a jag from them?

 

the cost for an extended factory warranty, which gives you 100k total miles and 6 years from the in-service date, is under $2000. it can only be bought from a jaguar dealer, so if your dealer is giving you a line try another.

 

Each jag dealer depended of location, charges different rates. Where do you live and I can find out...

Thats what I thought. Did you buy it from a jag dealer? These guys must be yankin' your chain, check with jaguar and email someone and they will email or actually they'll call you back and email you.

 

I was quoted $3300 for the 6/100 warranty here in Michigan - has anybody actally purchased a Jag warranty? If so, how much and what term and deductible (if any)?

 

I bought the JAG extended warranty on my 06 X when I bought it new in May. I got the 7year - 100K package with $50 deductable for $2700 which includes our 6% state sales tax.

K, just got the scoop....you need to find another dealer cause that guy is boning U. should be no more that 2500 for your area.

 

Thats what I though, I've said it once and I'll say it again go to jaguar and email them directly. Someone from a 1800 number will contact you directly from jaguar. I asked them a hypothetical question if my car didn't have 53k and had 49k what it'd cost and there was no way it was more than $2k.
