get a real camera, and stop taking dumb angled shots... side front and rear profile is all you need.

the tips did not come with the exhaust but i got them installed from the same shop. it was $150 for each muffler and $40 each tip installed for a total of $380. I found out that was a pretty good price when i went to other shops that were quoting my over $500!

I was merely trying to help you display your car better for us to see, its not my fault you take shoddy pictures.

hey bfsgross, welcome to the forums. The sounds is pretty mellow overall. It just sounds sporty, kind of what you could expect form an E-class amg. that has a v8 so the sound is better , but i guess you could compare it to that. Its a low deep sound. There is no rasp or anything like that, so in my opinion it sounds pretty good. The magnaflow part number is 11226.

The mechanic completed the engine swap and took a 10 mile ride. He reported back; the engine purrs but the Summitt Racing stainless steel straight through ceramic coated mufflers ($69 each) were too loud. Summitt eventually agreed to pick them up and charge me a 20% restocking fee while sending out the same MagnaFlows ($69 each) as Jim's (MagnaFlow part#11226). Again, if you haven't followed my engine swap w/exhaust mod.: A 2005 3.0 w/48k was installed into my 2002 3.0 w/68k (engine failed). 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC exhaust manifolds (much better flow), 2 1/4" pipes immediately to upstream O2 sensors. Pipes insert into a duel inlet (2"), single outlet (2 1/2") catalytic converter (under floor pans heat shield, adjacent to driveshaft). Immediately after cat insert downstream O2 sensors. Single 2 1/2" pipe continues down, splitting on top of rear axle each to a muffler. I haven't seen nor heard the car but mechanic indicated much more flow than stock and smarter acceleration. If anyone here were to witness how your stock exhaust is designed, you'd wonder how any exhaust could get out of the engine, and a likely variable for engines failure due to extreme heat (from the cats so close to the block, etc.) breaking down oil. You'll witness weezy horizontal small passage exhaust manifolds, cats w/90 degree bends and restrictor plates at their exits, to 2" pipes converging to 2 1/4 pipe, eventually to three perferated tubed "heavy as heck" mufflers. I estimate that shedding:10 lb. resonator, shedding a 25 lb. cat., approx. 25 lbs. of mufflers, the car lost approx. 55 lbs. of mass. Along with a ported intake manifold (in two weeks), I'm guessing a total gain of 40 h.p. and 20 lb/ft torque. I'll take pics and report. Happy Holidays fellas!!!
