Default Front brakes sticking 2006 X-Type X400 2.2d

Hello all,

This is my first post on the forum. I've owned my X Type estate for over 3 years now. It has recently had a new NSR caliper and rear brake lines replaced.
It now has the front brakes sticking on, to the point I had to drive in 2nd gear to get it to move.
The rear brake lights are also on all the time. The Cruise control has stopped working and the DSC light comes on after a few miles and stays on.
I have been reliability informed by an engineer friend at JLR that the issue is the Brake Master Cylinder, however the garage seem to think it is the ABS unit.
I have read other forums that say it could be the brake booster and the ABS pump too. I've also looked on here and not found a difinitive answer to the specific issues I have been experiencing.

Before I start spending hundreds of pounds fixing one major part and it's the other, can anyone please help me at all?
Many thanks in advance.

Oh, I should add that the discs and pads were all replaced 18 months ago and before this latest issue the brake line on the NSR was leaking and the brakes completely failed! Fortunately I made it to the garage safely!

Thanks

Welcome to the forums Blingster,

I've moved your question from UK & Eire Region to X-Type forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.
