Default Front door speaker replacements

I have a seriously blown speaker on my 2006 X Type front passenger door and pulled it out to find out it’s made by Phillips in China. I need to replace it but would like to upgrade. The Phillips speaker is designed to sit halfway in the door and halfway out of the door based on a plastic mount. Does anyone have any recommendations and know the impedance/ohm rating?

Hi Jeff, It's 4 ohm. At 150ish for a pair of components, Polk 6.5s are a good upgrade/replacement and fit inside the door as is. You'll need to buy some mount rings but they can also be found on Amazon.

Ok, thanks for the info. Such an unusual speaker design with the plastic housing and all.
