Front fog lamps now working

Front fog lamps now working
Hi, I have a Jaguar X type, 2004 registered, V6 petrol. The front fog lamps have stopped working, but all other lamps work. The front fog lamp indicator on the dash has also stopped working. Please can you advise on where the correct fuse and relay are located. Thanks.

Jonesrover, first off, welcome to the Forums. You will find a lot of useful information here and lots of people that are more than willing to help you out. We believe in more of a family type of environment as compared to a lot of other car sites. But, as part of this, we ask that you stop by the New Member section and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you got a Jag. This will also introduce you to those that make this place what it is.
Now, for your issue, something you may not be aware of, but you have an interesting year X-type as there are 2 different versions of it. These versions mainly rely around the electrical system. So, wen looking up answers, you need to pay attention to whether you have the early type or later type electrical system. This will also affect how the car is in the winter because there was also 1 major mechanical change (new style transfer case).
So, to tell which version you have, open up the driver's door and near the latch on the body, you should see a silver/white sticker. Down on the bottom of this, it should say "Build date" or some abbreviation for that. It should then say something like MAR 04 or the like. The early cars were produced until March 2004. Starting in April 2004, the cars were built with the new stuff. Another give away is if you look at the passenger compartment fuse box. The earlier cars, the fuse box is numbered like 50-99. The newer style, it is numbered 1 to 50-something. Find this info first and then we can take things from there.
If you have an early style car, then you are looking at fuse F87 in the passenger compartment fuse box. It is a 15 amp fuse. If you have the later style car, you are looking at fuse F2 in the engine bay fuse box. If the fuse is not the issue, then let me know what version car you have and we can troubleshoot things from there.
