Default Front right driveshaft question

Hello everyone,

I have 2004 x-type 2.5. When I was removing front right wheel to replace drop link I have noticed that I can turn the driveshaft freely. Is that sounds ok to you guys? My handbrake is on and car is left in park. I have tried to move all other driveshafts after that and they all locked. Does it sound like teeth on that driveshaft are worn or my gearbox is damaged? I do get some weird noises from under the car like metal grinding against metal...It got me worried now. I have checked transfer case and filled it up with fresh oil. My car only has 63k miles and its in great condition, so I'd like to keep it like that and fix the problem.
Any help will be much appreciated,
Many thanks.

Mine was inadvertently "popped out" kicking the tire that was not properly installed on ball joint, my fault on installation (front control arm replacement) & damaged the CV. Shook like heck and made a terrible noise when he did it and when I went to drive it home.
