Bo,

the car is at the dealer. I took it in. Let's see what happens. I mean if they tell me there is nothing wrong i am literally going to lose it. Maybe, i can take it to another Jag dealer, but will they have the hot blond italian as service rep? Prolly not....

Bo,

It was the bearing on the left front side that went bad. Drove it back home, and finally no more noise.

I rotated my tires the other day and noticed that the front right hub was loose. When I did a closer inspection, I found that the hub nut was lose by almost 2.5 turns! I'm sure this is rare but I would recommend that if you all do your tire rotations, check the hub nut!

I got rid of the sounds in the front of my X-type by doing 2 things. Changing the sway bar rubber mounts - It was tight but I did this without dropping the subframe! this got rid of 90% of the sound (dull thump-thump rattle).

The other thing I did was change out the front struts. The right one was competely shot and you could hear it "hiss" going over parking lot speedbumps.

Car is much tighter and quieter - BTW, it was Bilstein sports I put in.
