Front Wheel Bearing DIY with Photo's
Thank you for the tutorial. I replaced mine the other day and could not have done it without the tutorial. I did not try the ice and heat because I have a friend that has a press, however, everything else was extremely helpful.
I had a right job getting the bottom ball joint out as the swinging arm would not drop far enough, seems it has now stuffed the swinging arm bush by using a very big bar on it, hey ho, now I find your post is that why you say some undo the strut?
Getting the bearing out of the hub turned into a challenge though I had a bearing extraction tool and Pneumatic air gun, could not get it to budge from the hub. Finally took the Hub and the bearing to a shop with a bearing press that cost about $100 that I was more than happy to pay. So, have a backup plan just in case you run into the same problem.
