Smile Glove Box

I was cleaning out my glove box yesterday and looking inside I say a handle. and it looks like there is a door there. I pulled on the handle twice, but it would not budge. Not wanting to break anything I stopped, does anyone know what this door, if it is a door or what the handle type object are for? Thanks

It's where 007 keeps his handgun. If he drove a Jaguar.

I do believe that the x-types have climate controlled glove boxes. Maybe this might be what you are seeing? I will have to go check on mine though just in case it is a secret spot!

You must never ever attempt to open the secret door.

I wonder if that door is for an attachment for an MP3 player? Some early 21st century cars are hook ups like that in the glove box, in fact my sons Oldsmobile 2001 has a MP3 connection in the glove box. Once U plug it in the radio takes over the function of the MP3

I hate to burst your bubble, but I do believe that if it was an mp3 connection then a lot of members wouldn't have had to get a special system installed from jag in upwards of $400 just to connect their ipod. That being said, I don't want to be a pessimist because if it is an mp3 connection, then that saves me so change

I should have wrote I wonder if this is where a connection for a MP3 or Ipod would go if Jaguar had that option. As the "handle" looks more like a hole for a connector to be inserted than a handle to open the door.
