Hi, Coming to the end of a 2000ml journey pulling a caravan with my 2004 X-Type, speeds around 60/65, the glow plug came on & the car went into limp mode. I pulled over, stopped the car, then restarted it ...the light was out & the car ran normally. This happened again, also while towing a caravan. Any advice would be appreciated. PMQ

My 2008 2.2d auto did this today, also showed gearbox fault, quick search suggests it will either be EGR valve issue or electronic turbo actuator. Gearbox should be ok.
Not sure if 2004 has electronic actuator.
I would get codes read and take it from there or stop pulling caravans!!!
