GoodYear Assurance Tripletred update
Well, the tires now have 11k on them. Tread wear is barely visible if at all; if they keep up at the same rate, they actually might live up to the advertised 50-80k range. Recently went through 2 thunderstorms with rain like it was falling from a bucket, low visibility, one of them on the interstate, the other on a twisty highway. No slipping or any unexpected movement from the wheels, everything felt as if I was driving on a clear day. I did slow down a bit because of the visibility of course; about 70-75 mph on the interstate, and 50-55 on the highway, so I don't know if they would perform the same at greater speed, but as it is, I feel like it was money well spent.

RE: GoodYear Assurance Tripletred update
Hey Mac.........all sounds really good re the Goodyears mate. I'd be interested to know more, maybe post some psecs of the tyre if you have them as well as further updates.
For the last 10 years or so, I have stubbornly stuck with Pirellies after trying so many other brands that just didn't seem to live up to the Pirellis. The worst experience ever was the Dunlop Sports I tried once.....Never again.
Bear in mind mostly its driving in the wet over here....lol
I've always found the Pirellie P6000 and the PZero's to be hard wearing, excellent in the wet, and good for grip too. Not a lot of road noise associated with them either and if you shop around usually fairly well priced.
Post some more info on the Goodyears Mac...
Cheers
Jim
