So while I was pulling the inner fender off and finding the broken subframe bolt, I decided to undo the caliper and clean up the brake pads etc.. ( cuz they are red stuff pads hehe )
I noticed the inner pad had the groove filled in with stuff. I cleaned that out.
Then i noticed the cross drilled holed in the disc were completely full of stuff on the inner side of the disc only. I cleaned them all out.
Any chance that these holed filled with (brake dust plus winter filth?) might have been causing the bearing like sound? I cant test now untilI get a new subframe bolt.
I was wondering if the bearings could possibly be defective on the car - unlikely because I just changed both front knuckles 2 months ago. If i conquor the rattles and the groaning... I might finally get to the first day of this thing driving the way it should..
Just the messed up trip computer reading and outside temp left after this...

Yeah, but a knock here and there isn't as bad as bad bearing. A bad bearing is like a rake strapped on the the rear bumpr and dragging along the ground.
I've had bad bearings in the front end of my truck and they weren't too bad! A ball joint or tie-rod made more noise!

Oh yeah! Ford started in like the 1800's...I think his first was model a or t or something like that! Don't think he sold cars until after the 1900's began but I'm pretty sure 1910 they were in full swing!
