RE: H1 bulb keeps blowing
Hi and welcome,
We had several similiar post regarding this problem and it all boils down to ensuring you buy the correct H1 bulbs which seem to be the only ones that will work correctly.
Check this post out....it may help.

I bought a 2002 x-type a few months back and have replaced the pass side dim light has blown twice. Today when I went to replace it, the fuse was blown as well. Anything I can do to slow down the replacements as getting to the bulb is not easy? Thanks -Kathleen

you could also try the sportzblue that I have, and quite a few others too aswell as some members on another forum. They increase your visibility dramatically. They are not road legal, but I have had mine in now for nearly 2 months, none have blown and never been pulled

RE: H1 bulb keeps blowing
i had the same problem with my headlights when i first got the car, kept taking back to the dealer and they just replaced the bulbs. so i went to a different dealer and they changed the wiring harness. They said the ones i had were faulty. If your still under warranty, they shud fix it for free. Havnt blown out for about a year now.
