Default Happy Independance Day...From the ****ers Across the Pond!

HAHA! Enjoy it guys. We're a weird *** country, and we're very "Special" in a sense. I know no country so generous yet so hated across the world. If there is something we can be proud about is that we are truly a FREE country. I just wish our troops were h. Let us know what you guys are doing today or if you're reading this after the 4th, what you did. Enjoy and once again, Happy Independance Day. It was 331 years ago today that we beat the snots out of the brits and declared ourselves FREE!

!!!Happy Independance day guys!!!
Jeez, there's nothing like a " young emerging" nation that celebrates days like these.
We won our Independance from the English in 1304 some 703 years ago.........Had America been discovered then?....lol
j/k guys.............oh yeah, its my mates birthday today too......43 years young.......good ole Davy Bissett.

LOL!! Happy 4th to you freaks too!! Makin' fun of us "special" Americans?? How could you?

Anyway, I worked. It was gay. Drunk freaks and stupid people. What else is to be expected on a drunken holiday like this?

I hope everyone has a good holiday and stays safe...

Hey Jim,

I'm good, thank you for asking. I still have the Jag - I've been lazy on trying to sell it. I just saw were the other guy on the forum was interested, but it looks like he found another one. Sad, but I can deal..
Yeah, you got to love the poe-poe. We're good people, who like to kick a little butt every once in awhile. A little tasing every now and again makes work REALLY exciting...
How've you been?

Was 102 F here in southern California (that's 39 C to the rest of the world other than us and the Brits)....too hot to fire up charcoal and stand over it.

Took my 2 year old boy to the movie theater to see Ratatouille, stopped and got some chinese carry out...gonna drive our Yukon up the hill behind our house later and watch fireworks from 3 towns.

4th of July is always a good day.

Sorry to hear that Debbie. If it makes you feel any better, I did that last week, at age 33. My Dad was diagnosed at 49 with Stage 3 colon cancer, my grandmother on my mom's side was diagnosed with Stage 1 at 48 (puts me in the +20% category). Luckily, they're both cancer free..but after surgeries and chemotherapy. My dad spent 2 years in treatment and will never be the same.

Think of it as a celebration. One more romantic visit with your GI to know you're good for another 5 years! I'll be back there in 5 also. A clean bill of health is worth some fireworks!

Here in Chicago we celebrate Independence Day on the 3rd of July for some reason.
Chillin on a boat eating fried chicken and watching fireworks. It's all good.

I slept all thru the 4th cuz we get the day off work

I grew up in suburbs of Chicago til I was 13....then worked downtown for 3 years when I was in my early 20's. We always celebrated on the 4th???? Maybe its just your neighborhood.?
The boat, chicken, and fireworks, sound good nonetheless!

Everyone knows the 4th of july is on the 4th hear, and we have the day off. But the navy pier fireworks on always on the 3rd of July, always. Millions of people flock downtown, mostly after work but alot of people start picknicking mid day. Literally half the city spends hours on the lake front, and it is bumper to bumper traffic. And at like 11 pm on July 3rd a bunch of CTA trains just locked up and powered off for ovre an hour, and over 10,000 people were trapped on the trains. That shows you the type of celebrating that goes on here on july 3rd

Ahh...I never celebrated downtown. Always in the burbs. Good to know for future visits.

Like St. Patty's day in Chicago...there's always the big commercial parade on the Sunday before, but the real South Side parade is on St. Patty's no matter what. That's the only one I've ever been to....freezing my **** off with my drinking glove on one hand and the 12er in the other! LOL
Good ol' Chi-Town!
