Default Has anybody else had this problem?

The front air intake to the air filter box pipes keep falling off and sitting under the connection to the filter box, no matter how often I try and re position them they go back to the same place. Has anybody got a fix for this?

They are usually attached to the box, as well as the radiator support.....Mike

Do you know what they are attached with? i.e. glue, screw, fixing type ;-)

The snorkel, that feeds the air to the air box from in front of the radiator is held on by a screw and washer on the radiator support. I do not know what holds the snorkel to the air box. I am sure any way, other than duct tape would be acceptable.....Mike

I recently had the air cleaner apart on my 3.0 X-type. When you remove the upper cover to access the air cleaner and remove it there should be 2 fasteners in the corners closest to the front bumper. These screws hold the bottom of the box to the sides of the box. the 2 air horns coming into the box face are held onto the radiator support by two screws that are connect to 2 nuts inside rubber isolators.
if the air horns are falling off the face of the box then they are broken off and probably can't be repaired. The previous owner had a PCV hose failure and substituted the right part for a piece of heater hose. his repair broke the mount of the air cleaner resonator. I attempted glue repairs without success. if you download the SNG Barret parts catalog and go to page 36 you can see a blow up of the air cleaner. it doesn't show the interior fasteners since the bottom is sold as one piece even though it is 2 pieces.
