Came across this while doing some searching. Has anyone tried this to hook up an iPod/MP3 player?

I used something very similar to that in my Boxster. It allows me to have iPod and Bluetooth phone connections (as well as flash drive and mp3). It works very well.

i dont think this will work because the back of our OEM decks do not have any rca input cables. It might be different for your car but i have the OEM navigation setup and i know for sure that i dont have any rca jacks.

You don't need any input cables on your stereo with this. It hooks directly to your antenna. The two rca cables coming out of that modulator are the input cables that allows you to hook up your iPod or mp3 player.

oh so this system is fm modulated, alright i must have not looked at the picture hard enough.

Alright here is the thing, you sacrifice sound when you have anything running through the radio/ antenna. if you arent a big audio guy, this probably wont bug you but the sound will not be as clear and crisp as a CD.

It will work as previously noted. However you won't have top notch sound quality and if you like to crank it up, the max volume won't be very loud. I have a similar device for my cd changer and my Sirius.

Better option (other than ACM) would be to use a tape cassette adapter, if you have a cassette player headunit. You'll get better sound quality and no loss of top volume.

If you have a factory cd headunit and wish to keep the stock looks, perhaps try to locate a used cassette unit from ebay or salvage yard.
