Hello all, I am new to the forums and was wondering if I could get some information on the headlamp system. I have a 2002 X type that was struck in the front by a bouncing pipe on the expressway. Both headlamps were damaged and replaced with new ones. I feel lucky they were replaced when I found out how much money they are and how prone to failure the adjusters are. Now they do not perform the self leveling at startup. The old headlamps would "prove out" leveling at vehicle start up. Any ideas?

 

FYI. I took the X to the dealership today. The headlamp leveling system did require programming. The lamps now perform the dip at start up.
