I put my headlights in the oven at 175 for about 10 minutes and I could pry apart by hand (wearing gloves because they were obviously hot!). Anyway, back to the adjusters... Went to the local parts store and purchased a generic headlight adjuster kit. I secured the screws in the kit to my headlights by using JB Weld. Basically, on my existing headlights where the old plastic piece would snap in I removed it and replaced with a metal screw that is jb welded. This screw now projects through the backside of the headlamp assy and is secured via an acorn nut and o ring. I had to remove the old "adjuster" knob and gear along with the all thread that rotated but I don't really care about adjusting that way. I will get it all dialed in and should be good to go. Probably impossible to follow my logic by words so I will try to get some pics up. As of this morning it was a sturdy structure and I think it will work fine.

SVENGALI... glad the heat trick worked for you. Sounds like a good inexpensive fix, especially if your verticle gear/shaft is broken (the Polish adjuster kit will not fix this). Look forward to seeing your pictures. Mikie
