Default Headlights Un-even.

Hey guys, I don't think i have posted here before, maybe once, i just read the forums alot but ya.
I got a used 03 X-type about a few months ago. The car has been running great, with just a few problems here and there. I was wondering if these problems could be solved by a novice\moderate experienced person like my self.

1) I have the squeaky steering problem, is it an easy fix? Do I need any special equipment?
2) My Key FOB works sometimes, and than doesn't work other times. I had replaced the batteries and everything. Lets say i open the car with the Key Fob, it wont close when my trip is over, i have the use the key. Its not a big deal, but it would be nice to have it function properly. Sometimes it just doesn't work.
3) This one is somewhat of a big deal. My headlights are wierd, they are misalligned, They stay in one place they are not rattleing around, but just one shines higher than the other. I have standard H1 bulbs. I know that the previous owner had got in an accident in that area of the car. So now i am looking for a solution.

I can post pictures if nessissary.

Thanks guys!

drivers side should be slightly lower for saftey reasons (not blinding the cars comeing at you) and the passengers side should shine out farther and towards the side of the road.

Thanks for the reply, what screw exactly? I see a white gear type thing, no screws. Where is the screw located? Any pictures? Thanks!

In regards to your key fob, next time you get out of your vehicle when you open your door listen carefully if you hear a chime. If you hear this chime get out, shut the door and try to lock your car with the fob. You will notice it will not work as your ignition may be sticking. To ensure this is the issue open the door, get back in and stick the key in slightly to touch the little plap in the ignition. Then remove the key, open the door and listen if the chime is still there. if the chime is not there, shut your door and try to lock it with the fob. You will notice that it will now lock. If this is correct go to an electronics store and purchase some electrical cleaner. Its about a couple of dollars for a small little bottle the size of a lock de icer bottle. Spray some onto your key and wipe it clean with a tissue and then spray some more on the key and stick it into the ignition repeatedly in and out in and out and then clean off the key again with the solution and wipe.

Essentially what has happened is that your ignition flap may be dirty and by cleaning it the flap will shut properly. If this dosent work then it may be an issue with your fob.

Hope this helps.
