Hello Everyone!!!
Hey everyone,
I just bought me a 2002 x-type mechanic special out of Atlanta this weekend. It needs some love in a very bad way.
First big thing is it has a miss on cylinder #6, Ordered a COP and bought new plugs today. Plan on doing a really good tune up and oil change this weekend.
Other things I know I need to address, Needs a headliner, boot open warning light stays on, brake lights stay on unless you pull up on the pedal, boot seal trashed, rear inner door panel is real loose. Something very caustic spilled on the rear seat bottom and ate up the leather, front disc's need turned. drivers seat doesn't adjust.
The body is good and it has new tires. The whole car inside and out needs a really good detailing. I can't wait to get this car back to the condition it deserves to be in. I have learned a lot about these cars already but I will be picking your brains if I run into something I can't figure out.

Thanks Mike for the info !!
I am going to get started on it this weekend on tuning it up. I have new plugs, PCV, air filter, fuel filter, oil and filter. Hopefully all of that and a coil on #6 and it will pur like a Jaguar should.
I accidentally broke the fuel cover door 10 min. after I bought it trying to put fuel in it. A new one should be here on Friday and I will get that installed too. Then I start working on the other stuff.
