Default Xtype height adjustment motor for driver seat

Motor runs, seat doesn't move
Any way to get the plastic gear, or do I need to buy the complete assembly. If so anyone know where I can get a used one?

I have seen the gears on eBay. They are brass, and while the sellers claim it is an easy fix, it does not appear quite as simple as they say.

Not too cheap, either.

Replaced mine with a used one. There are two versions. One with memory and one without memory. Be sure you get the correct replacement.

i have a 2004 X-Type Sportwagon. As is commo, the gear on the power seat up-and-down function has stripped. I've been able to obtain another entire power seat rack with motors. However, the gear for the power seat of my down function on the replacement assembly is also bad. So here's my question: can a gear be taken from the back-and-forth or the seat recline assemblies and used for the up-and-down function? Or are these different gears?

Default Seat gears

I bought a set of metal seat gears to replace the plastic ones, ordered them from England through eBay, cost less than $40 for everything needed, the instructions were a little funky, but with minor fabrication( grinding off the old plastic gears to allow drilling a hole for the set shaft for the metal gear) it was a cakewalk, beats buying the complete setup(motor)at jag. They don't sell the gear, as it is pressed onto the shaft, you would have to buy the complete motor Assy
