Just happened today, I can "D" drive just fine but car will not move in reverse, I have read somewhere that there is a reverse piston that cracks in the tranny.. OK! can this be fixed with out the friken dealer help? I do play around with cars and have tons of tools, anyone out there knows this problem and know how to fix..please reply!

It is a Jatco autobox, so any autotransmission specialist should be able to fix it. The gearbox on my Rover 75 is the same, and these suffered internal piston cracking in some early boxes, so maybe yours is similar. I believe it is not necessary to dismantle the gearbox to replace the piston, it can be accessed from an external coverplate, but I may be wrong.
