Correction......
My buddy is doin the removal and install. Im doin the parts swap. And while i do that i will replace the front main seal and rear. Probbaly the valve cover gaskets and so on depending how they look. Bottom line with fluids and gaskets im lookin at roughly $1500 bucks. So please guys, i cant stress it enough, CALL AROUND!!!! Play a little hard ball if you have to. Hell, if i had the time id be doin everything myself but i have waaaaay to much goin on right now. Plus im barrowin a vehicle. You guys can hit me up and ill help you find anything your lookin for. Ill always try and do my part for the forum as you guys do for me.
As ive read before, the only stupid question is the one not asked

Hey CRASH....
Your link you posted was really interesting and helpful. I was wondering if they where the same at first and after lookin again it gives me some reassurance!! The Duratec and AJ30 are basically the same engine. But the Duratec puts out a little more torque. Which after i get this engine im stripping it down to just the heads and block pretty much anyway. But was very interesting to see the similarities. Thanks dude

pseudo...well i do not know what kind of condition your X is in but if you think the engine is dead then take what it would cost to fix it off what you think you car is worth. Just a ball park. BUT if its a minimal noise and maybe a rod bearing, that can be fixed if its not to bad. I dont know, but all i can say is, let her go for whatever will let you sleep at night. LOL
I just dropped my car off at the shop and was lookin at her in the garage there. I love the damn thing and actually miss driving it!! LOL. Although i am borrowing my brothers winter beater which is a 1997 Honda Accord thats been hit from every angle and smells of taco bell and ***. LOL.
Good luck to you pseudo!!
