Help - Remove and Replace headlight washer cover nozzle
The cover on the passenger side of my wifes x-type (2002) fell off at the car wash. They payed for a new one but it also included the entire nozzle (white in color). I cannot figure out how to remove the old one so i can insert the new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My honey do list will get bigggggg if i do not get this done soon.
Thanks for the help. I did search the forums but found nothing.

Here's what I did, real easy... Pull the old nozzle out(all the way out) with your fingers and HOLD! Snap just the cover plate onto it and slowly reset it into place... I didnt replace the innner nozzle and have not had any problems. The cover plate is the real issue, the nozzle should last forever...

yes the design is changed and for the better. I would not take the new one apart.
to get the nozzle out, you need to pull the old one forward and then use a small screwdriver to lift the clip that holds it in. I think it is more than obvious how it works> I did mine and did not think twice about it. the only hard part was to hold the thing forward without damaging the plastic on the bumper.
