Default Help selecting HID kits

Looking around on ebay. not sure what to look for. Should i order a generic H1 or one specifically for jaguars? I already know to stay away from the ones that the shipping is more than the unit itself (so they only have to refund your 20 for the kit andnot the 100 for shipping). I found a few and was wondering others thoughts on them. Also, what color. i like the color that they use stock on most higher end cars and still want it to be really bright on the road. Thanks in advance.

Yeah as jvegas stated make sure you identify what kit you need and what color when you send the paypal through or whatever way you are paying. Make sure you put that you want the 6000k kit in size H1 make sure there is no other form of letters or anything else near it. I'd put it on one line by itself like this

2002 Jaguar X-type Headlight 6000k kit Size: H1

(or whatever year and make your is.)

Be careful though as I've stated before I've bought lights from him and the kit is nice especially for the money but on occasion he does have shipping problems (considering it's coming from China) and he doesn't help you out with problems. If he sends the wrong kit to you sometimes you may have to pay more or he has some excuse as to what happened or that there's nothing he can do. I only want you to be informed exactly what could happen. I'd say 98% of the time though the kit arrives to people in 6 business days with no problems or error. I bought from them and would buy from them again and I did have problems with shipping (got it 3 weeks after I paid for the kit.) I've been having a problem lately with my bulbs though I must turn the lights off and on and off and on sometimes. I attribute most of this to the jags electrical system as there are many problems with regular bulbs let alone aftermarket hid kits. With the automatic lights set I believe that there is a surge in power from when you turn the key to the on position to where you actually start the car and the starter cranks over so I think the problem is in that not the kit itself. I think the ballast is just protecting itself.

oh, and make sure you get the led lights for the inner city lights to match. i forget the bulb size.... something like 394? i am sure someone will correct me on that you can find them at vleds.com of frikinbright.com. i alsio think the rear plate lights (which are the same size) look great. be sure to post before and after pics.

one more thing: when the kit gets to you, make sure you inspect all the products before starting work. iot should take you about 3-5 hours rom start to end. if you need any help let us know.

If you are a somewhat handy person with plastics, electronics and general car stuff you should be able to install the kit in an hour (mind you I'm a person that takes way more time than anything should take! LOL!) But really getting the covers on is the hardest part. Do the drivers side first get the hang of it and it should only take about 15 minutes to do the passenger side as you will have figured out how to snake your hands.

I thought the parking light was 194 or something like that jvegas?

I am wondering if the more expensive kit might be better. They seem to ship a lot faster and have a lifetime warranty and from teh reveiws they are very helpful. If the cheap guy that everyone uses cuts me a deal with shipping for 3 kits, i might do it though.

I doubt he'd cut a deal, he uses expensive shipping through usps. It only takes 5 days from when he drops the package off with the shipper. Pretty impressive when it's coming from China...Keep in mind those places with lifetime warranties you'll probably have to pay shipping, in the end you may end up paying the same amount and not getting any better of lights and paying more for the lifetime warranty kit.

I can attest to the above statement. I just installed the 194's and they have a white/bluish emittance to them.

I can snap some pics here in a couple days.
