HID install issues
Okay, so I just bought an HID kit from xenonsupply.com. I know it's not a site that is well known around here, but my other home forum toyotanation.com has a lot of experience with them.
Anyway, I noticed the passenger's side headlight connectors are different from the driver's side. On the factory setup both wires run to the same connector. The kit wiring has two separate wires. So, uh, what do I do? Give me a mechanical job and I'll get it done in no time, but when it comes to electrical work...
On the other hand, I installed and connected everything on the driver's side, and when I tried to turn it on - Nothing. Any ideas?

AML, on the driver's side, try switching the leads around. Odds are, you have the negative car wire to the positive HID ballast wire. The ballasts are polarity sensitive. TRUST ME!!!!! As for the passenger side, I don't have my diagrams at the moment, but going to the headlight there are only 2 wires, take a stab in the dark and connect them up temporarily to see if the light lights. If it does, then you got it correct. If not, reverse the wires and test again.
If you need more help, let me know. I will do what I can. I can also give you a few checks to make with a multimeter if that would help you.

The reverse polarity makes sense - hadn't thought of that. However since the female ends of the car wires are different sizes, the male end connector tab for the HID bulb are different sizes correspondingly. In order to test that I'd have to snip off the ends and rewire them.
I think I will wait until Monday to give their tech support a call and ask them about it to be sure as well as for warranty purposes. If all else fails, I'll just ask them to exchange the H1 bulbs for H11s and I'll use the kit for my Camry Hybrid.
