Default HID Installed

I got my HID kit today, I installed them in about an hour, I was wondering where you guys that have the kit have mounted your ballists? I don't want to remove my bumper to mount the, the driver side was easy I removed the battery tray to access the head light and there was a PERFECT spot under the battery tray, the driver side is great the pass side is a little tricky I used the double sided tap in the kit to temporarily affix the ballist to the dust cap on the back of the high beam headlight, I will mount this better than that of course just didnt know where, it was getting dark and starting to rain so I buttoned it quick. Ohh yeah I know they next question is what temp????? 8000k iceberg blue, and I LOVE THEM! next is fog light, but i need a passenger side foglight assembly ( mines busted)

Nice one Garrin.........most peeps seem to go for the 6K forbetter light output with a tinge of blue. The 8k's must be really nice but not quite as good lighting wise.
Have you checked Ebay for foglight assy.............there's usually a few kicking around there.

you don't have to remove any thing for the headlight install. i put the othe side ballast on the lil shelf near the washer tank. tru you can king of see it when the hood is opened buy it fits perfect!

and where are the pics?!? we want to see the 8k setup. don'e forget to put a pair of white 194 bulbs in the inner lights so it matches. (see below)

Congrats on your HID install! I mounted my right side ballast here. I used my HID kit for the high beams since the car already have factory HID's for the low beams.

I also mounted my left (drivers) side ballast right under the batter box in that little valley in the frame.

Did you go with a35w or 50w HID kit? Which brand?

I went with a DDM 50w kit.

Here are my threads on HIDs. I hope these help with your mounting locations.

Thanks for the pics, I thought that i read on here that the Front bumper cover must be removed for the HID install. Which was a big turn off to me. So i stuck in some Silver star bulbs instead and broke a tab on my passenger side headlight so now it flops like a limp limb.

I did that same Silver Star swap on my X and noticed that my pass side light was already lose. I guess the previous owner did something to it. Is there anything that can be done other than replacing the whole headlight?

Where can I get bright white bulbs or LEDs that fit into the city lights? I have 194 LEDs, but theyre too big, and the 'bright white' W5W replacement bulbs are just that stock yellow.

Whoever said the bumper needs to be pulled to install HIDs has never done them. It's no more complicated than a headlight bulb swap plus a little wiring.
You just need to have small hands, patience, and be willing to bleed a bit.
