Hidden trim fixings

Hidden trim fixings
2005 Xtype Estate (Wagon) Some guidance please with those infuriating hidden trim fixings. First I need to strip out the rear screen washer jet which is mounted in the external trim panel over the door; jet or pipe blocked. The workshop manual says remove inner trim - done - and outer is fixed by 5 x M6 nuts. Not on mine, no sign of nuts but I can just see what appears to be 1 press in clip. I am cautious about proceeding with levering the panel. Am I right that it's held by press in fixings ?
Secondly I need to remove the front "bumper/fender". How do I get the headlamp washers to come forward to take their trim covers off ?

Derek, while I do not have the washers on the front of my car, it is my understanding that the covers are permanently mounted to the washer and the only way to get the washer assembly out is to pull the front bumper off of the car and then access the washer from the rear. Once the bumper cover is off, you undo a few screws holding the washer assembly in place and it falls off the car.

Chris. Thanks, The WS manual says the washer jet covers are removed before the main fender cover comes off and to remove them "make sure the jets are fully forward". The covers are mounted on the retractable jet assembly, perhaps mine are just jammed. A bit of judicious fiddling seems to be the only way

Derek,
I don't have the estate saloon so I can't help you on the first question. The second one, I just responded to a similar issue. See link below to give you an idea.

While deployed or pulled out, you will need a flat screw driver to pinch the locking groove at the nossle. The very tip of the nossle where the cover is connected will pull out. To install it again, you need someone to press the wiper washer switch again & then hold the nossle & then slide the tip back in.
