I have the 2002 X type 5 Speed
I have an issue were the throttle is going high and low. I start the car and it goes up to three right off the bat but it's going back and forth on the idle. I notice it most while going up hill where is almost stalls. New fuel Pump and other things cant figure it out.. Seems to be like a compression issue?

Hi, Have you had the codes read. Sounds like there is confusion between the throttle position and the ECM. Have you tried a hard reset. Disconnect the battery and join the leads together for a few minutes then reconnect the battery. The car will reset all modules etc.

If it's a petrol then look at fuel trims as could be an air leak.
