housing within the thermostat housing

housing within the thermostat housing
I got a seized/broken bolt in the thermostat housing, is there a way to remove the housing of the thermostat housing? is it easy to remove or will I have to remove the water pump to get to it? I want to take it out and get a bolt removal specialist to take the broken bolt out, rather than risk drilling it out at a crazy angle, no space. (x-type 2002)

akubeta,
Are you talking about the bolt that hold the thermostat housing together or the bolt that holds the thermostat housing to the engine block?
If it's the bolt holding the thermostat housing together, try a pair of channel locks or vise grips and squeeze on the housing half opposite of the bolt head. There is a nut that is nilled (not sure of the proper term) that is set into the plastic housing. So by squeezing the plastic housing it should stop the inset nut from spinning. Drill out the nut part and then buy a longer bolt and anf nut to reassemble.
It it's the bolt into the engine block. Try a center punch and hammer to spin the broken bolt. Hopefully, there is an easier way and someone will help out.

Would you know how I get the thermostat housing out of the engine block?
