Extremely easy
Video is very helpful but a quick tip is to undo the coolant pipe from where it connects to the hardline attached to the engine, and not the rad itself as it's very fiddly in there.
you'll know what i mean when you take the airbox off... its the very thick pipe inbetween the engine and rad you cant miss it
same goes for the tiny pipe that follows the right fender to the expansion tank,,, it has a pipe clamp on it half way up the fender. Just release it from there and then take the pipe off when the rad is out.

Default Radiator support on 02 x type

Thanks for the advice but I guess I'm not saying the right part. What I'm talking about is the bracket that goes across the top of the radiator and has the latches for the hood in it. That part is bent. I was wanting to know if that part can be taken off and replaced.

Ahh,
thats not the rad mount, thats the slam pannel!
Usually welded in (cant remember on the X type tbh but i'm pretty sure it is) they are commonly cut out and spot welded back or even bolted back (if you can roll the sheet metal) in custom engine conversions for ease of removal etc.

This is for custom applications tho, if you took this to any garage I know of (UK, might be different over the pond) they wouldn't touch it with a 10ft barge pole.

entirely possible to replace though, but defo need pictures to see how bad its mangled, coz if it pulled in either of the chassis rails as it's deformed, then that's a new car bro 😢

but yeah please share the pics and i'll let you know straight away if its toast!
