Default How do I get the front left driveshaft out of the (auto) transmission?

I have a 2003 2.5L auto transmission car. I have a leaky front left wheel driveshaft seal. I need to get the driveshaft out of the transmission to replace it. What I am wondering is, what will be the easiest way to get the left front suspension to swing out to get the shaft to come out enough to change the seal? I don't need to replace the shaft, just get it to 'pop' out of the transmission enough to r+r the seal. Do I drill out the lower ball joint 3 big rivets, then replace them with bolts? or take the strut mounting loose from the suspension and rotate the works down to do it?? Thanks!
