I just rolled 100,000 on my way back from Philly on Monday. I'm not real happy about finally hitting a hundred thousand miles but it is only an '04 so I guess that's not so bad.

It's interesting to see how this thread started with some of the x-types being brand new and it's still going now that many of the cars are over ten years old. Mine is from 2007 and has 205000 km (127380 miles) of experience by now.

My car is now at 231680 ish miles.

Its had 2 clutches, 3 radiators, 2 ac compressors, 1 replacement transfer case, one ignition rewire, new rear bushings, 2 starters, and a ton of maintenance.

I plan to drive it into the ground then buy an XE when they get to the 10k range on the used car market.

I've got 111K on my 05 Estate Wagon.... running good but still trying to figure out all the misfire codes P0300 to P0306 and P1316. Done everything right so far, but as of tonight unresolved.

Just got the 06 X-Type back from my daughter. She's a little "rough" on cars. New Tires, 2 new wheels, coolant recovery tank, water pump, serpentine belt, and battery. will roll to 91,000 in a day or two.

Pics soon.

X-type 2.0D - Just rolled over 140,000 miles and running remarkably well. The advantages of high-mile diesel over petrol I guess.

More than a few 'age issues' in the last year. Water pump, alternator belt, rear suspension mounts. Nothing entirely out of the usual, but fortunately I have a local (and very forgiving) Jaguar specialist mechanic.

I would think the diesel ,manual gearbox variants will be the winners in the real high mileage race.
Main items. engine and gearbox are bomb proof and need little maintenance.

Default 106k+

Got mine a tick over 90k (90,077) a bit over 106 now. Haven't done much to it, oil change, brake pads, front right wheel speed sensor, oil sensor that makes the light blink when driving, and that's about it.

No major problems except the AC not working, though there's no leaks. Previous owner had whole ac system replaced by dealership ($3100, he showed me the receipt) and it WAS working fine then one day just stopped. Noone can figure out why, as I even had the dash pulled so they can check, still a no go. My fresh air box stopped opening and closing too, though that's probably just the actuator or maybe even just stuck open or closed, but I haven't had the time to take dash out again and check. I'll wait until spring.

Other then that she drives like a dream, and I drive it hard. Like HARD hard. Porsche hard. So being the paranoid OCD guy I am, I'm about to flush n Fill every fluid I can do myself, replace every sensor I can reach, and every gasket and seal again that I can do on my lonesome. Just because.

Also looking for a good set of Z rated tires. Not that I've ever had any tire problems except once a valve stem broke, and not that I'll ever get to speed where a z rated would fail, but I take Twisties like they are straight a ways, and I just want more grip for safety sake. Also all the bushings. I've only been able to spin the tires twice since I've had it, but once was on gravel and another during a bad rain on brand new blacktop, and I've only got it to drift once on a damn near 90 degree right turn doing like 80 and it only drifted for about 2 secs when the AWD brain kicked in and the tires gripped. THATS how awesome the AWD is on this thing. Rain and snow is just another sunny day for me, and it powers through puddles that would make norman cars hydroplane as soon as they touched it.

I will drive this car until the wheels fall off...then I'm going to put new ones on and keep on driving it.

✌️😁👍
