Hi! How much anti-freeze should I top-up with(most of it drained off)in my X Type 2.1 V6? Thanks

 

Just going by my X...I filled it according to the dealer, to the bottom of the black top. Basically fill until it goes above the translucent plastic section....If yours is like that, otherwise fill to the max line if there is such a thing on yours...Be sure to use distilled water if you are doing the mix yourself.

 

xtype62, plan on using about 8 liters of coolant that is 50/50 mix. If you buy the concentrate, then you will get 4 liters of the concentrate and then 4 liters of distilled water (not purified, not tap water). This capacity is coming from the owners handbook. The 2.1L motor may take slightly less, but it is better to have a bit too much than not enough.

 

Remember to check it again after you get to running temperature then let it cool. DO NOT open while hot. After the thermostat opens the coolant will circulate around the system and fill in any pockets, so if it wasn't filled to Thermo's specs you may need to add more.
