Default I disconnected rear driveshaft for towing. Could I lose something? Gasket?

Thanks.
Was there some cover?
Should I grease it before installation?

OK I had my driveshaft out for an engine swap. I think I remember there being a gasket on each end. I did grease the bearings on each end before reassembly and I can tell you, you CAN get too much grease in there. A little dab will do ya. I reused the gaskets with some fresh red silicone sealant. Also I replaced all the bolts with new bolts. 6 in front and 6 in back. JTIS said to, but I never did figure out if it was because of the locktite, or because the bolts are torqued to yield. Maybe someone else knows. If they are torqued to yield you definitely need to replace them.

I've had my driveshaft on and off many times. There is a gasket at each end, held in place by nothing other than the grease. It is possible that it could fall out. I'd wrap the end in a plastic bag and rubber bands or zips ties before moving the vehicle.

Yes, make sure you grease it well before re install. The shaft needs to be able to slip in and out as the suspension articulates.

And, yes, Jag recommends replacing the bolts each time your remove. I've had my driveshaft off at least 14 times in the past year (I was indexing it) and am still using original bolts. No way was I going to replace each time I indexed.

How does the gasket look like? Is it O-ring? Or like cover?

It's a notched circle. See part #s 7 and 11.
