Default I got one :)

I am now the proud owner of my own X Type, I really wanted an estate but I couldn't find anything within my budget that I liked but I am very happy with my new car

It's not a showroom model but I don't care, here it is:

I'm looking forward to seeing what mods I can do to it, it's not got parking sensors so I'd like to do that and it has the Sat Nav but I need to get the disc from somewhere so I can use it and I'd like to hook it up so I can use my phone with it too, Plenty of reading coming up I'm sure

Here is the entertainment it has:

Looking forward to spending more time on here.

Cheers

Superb, looks like a nice example, glad you're happy.

There's load of little mods you can do to make it your own, tons of great guys and good info here to help too.

Best of luck

Cheers guys, yeah, I'm hoping the disc's I've ordered for the sat nav are the right ones, would be nice not to have a big thing hanging off the windscreen.

Just want to find out things I can do to it and add to the nav/entertainment/communications part

I LOVED it today, I'm used to driving a 98 Discovery 300tdi, and my drive to work today was 160 round trip and it was nice to have a car that could actually overtake without a weeks planning, oh and to actually have acceleration, braking and cornering was a dream

Nice, but you didn't say anything about mileage.

I recommend that you do the drain/replacement of the transfer case lube just to make sure. There are plenty of posts around here about how do that.

Cool thanks
Mileage is 120k, I need to change the stat(s), the coolant temp registers between barely on and MAAAAYBE 1/4, sounds like that might be the oil cooler stat, but for the price of them I might just get the oil cooler one and the main one and do a coolant change too.

Just need to have a search on here where everything is and how easy it it to get to the bits.
I'm used to working on my own vehicles so shouldn't be too bad

I wish that mine had the navigation, it just looks so much nicer.

Is yours the 3.0? And what year is it?

Ah, right, updated my signature, car details as below

New sat nav disc didn't work, "Disc installed is not a map CD"

After googling it seems the reader may be at fault, gutted but looking in to fixes and how to add reverse sensors and camera and ability to add .5 aux jack to stereo

I love it, petrol was never even a consideration, I bought it for work as I'll be doing a bit of travelling in my new job.

Done over 700 miles since last Sunday when I picked it up
