Default I just used the search function and it worked!

So the battery in my key fob died today. I had no idea how to replace it. I fired up the old laptop, did a quick search under the X Type FAQs, found out how to replace my battery, and did it. Now my key fob works again.

THAT IS THE MIRACLE OF THE SEARCH BUTTON PEOPLE!!!

Just wanted to share my positive experience with this delightful little feature.

PS. The Sentas are not on yet, I've been out of town for the past 2 weekends in a row and haven't had time to mount the tires!

I wonder if that works for people considering purchase of an X-Type, too?

Mount the damn tires and put them on your lowrider, Allen

bwahahahaha.

I think if you search for radio, transmission, check engine, lights, LED. It returns results that are specifically for what you searched for. Amazing!!! Has it been there all along??? I hear search engines have made some huge money recently.

I think your post should be listed first in the FAQ section...in really big bold letters.

Sounds good in theory, i can't overlook the irony here.

Just checked the FAQ's myself, there is a post there, in bold,

replace-key-fob-battery

So, question is, what's more useful, the search engine or the FAQ's?

I didn't men that there should be a FAQ about replacing the keyfob battery. I meant there should be a FAQ for people to search for answers to their problems. Too many times you see posts from people that ask the most basic of questions that they could easily find the answers to if they just too a couple minutes and did a search first. The Lord helps those that help themselves.

Yeah but what i meant was, what's the point of putting it the FAQ's if nobody is looking there first?

Or maybe i'm just too synical these days...

Thanks Ufoz, for posting about your positive experience using the search feature.

It is there and is a very useful tool for those that decide to use it.
There is the Search button on the black banner where you also find your User CP button, or for more specific searches, whilst in whatever section ( X type for example ) at top right there is the "Search this forum" button.

Thanks again for your positive comments, I hope they might be beneficial to others
