Default I need two other X Type ballers... Let's get some custom wheels made!

Long story short: I emailed the guys from wheeldude.com who are vendors on another forum I am on and asked if they could produce a set of one off Linea Corsa Le Mans wheels with the 5x108 bolt pattern that our stupid cars require. Their response? Sure... If you can get 3-4 orders total, but we can't make a one off set.

Basically they are BBS LM copies. I love me some real deal LMs, but really spending $4500+ on a set of decent sized new LMs isn't in the budget for this car. These will go for $1299 for the set and look sweet on our cars. Proper sizing and offsets (you pick).

More pictures at WHEELDUDE.COM

Who's with me?!?!?!

Don't you love cars with rubber bands where the tires should be...

One pothole and those wheels will be toast (said said by some one with bent
factory wheels from driving on New England roads in the winter).

Then quit hitting potholes. The wheels would be 19s, so you'd still have a decent amount of rubber on them for an X Type.

The sizing and fitment won't be for the faint of heart though -- 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear. Yes. They will fit. Yes. It will look awesome. Yes. You will need to do some serious suspension and fender work if you expect it to look good but it would be well worth it.

Is Sin City giving any odds that you won't find 4 other members ready to pull the trigger? All kidding aside, I do you wish you luck.

The offsets these wheels are normally made in are way too low to run with spacers..

Just get some 5x112s redrilled. Call Junior at Motorsport-tech. He'll make it happen and you can get 5x112 replica LMs all day long.

I thought you had a line on some Sentas?

Ufoz,

I would be down to get some LM reps, but I am saving up for Jeremy's Carlson reps he's selling, if he still has them at the time. (*crosses fingers hoping the tax check is in the mailbox*)

Goodluck though with the groupbuy.

Haha... Its kind of funny that we are already twins in the wheels/coilover/color department. I'm just glad you don't live in my vicinity so I can still feel unique.

Ufoz,

What size wheels you looking at getting? I know if I keep the car, I'm going to get wheels and springs, but need to check to see about extended warranty coverage w lowering springs first, if it voids, Im SOL.

I wouldn't hold your breath Allen. There are about 8 people in the country who want to invest in non-OEM wheels for an X-Type and there is no way you will get half of them.

I figured as much... Just wanted to throw it out there and see if there was *any* interest at all.

I've been itching to get the Sentas on soooo badly- I think I may actually even post a picture or two of the car when I do!

Yes, just mount the damned Sentas - they will be easier to clean than KIRF RMs anyway.
