Default Identify this gear knob for me (manual)

So, I've seen these on manual petrol X-Types starting in 2007, but it's not in the JEPC and I haven't found the part number anywhere. What is the part number for this oval & stitched leather knob? Are there more than one kind (like the older one, as in plastic, leather, perforated leather)? Where to find one?

And most importantly, the threading is prolly the same as before so it'd be a screw-on upgrade?

I would love to find one of these too! I have been looking and gave up prematurely. My 02 has the circle that is really worn down and the plastic chrome is starting to come off of it so I am very interested to see if anyone else knows about where to get one of these

Finally got an answer, apparently the part number is C2S13208.
"The part you require is £73.33 plus 20%vat C2S13208 is the part number this is covered in perforated leather and would supersede any of the earlier gear knobs."

Any dealer probably has it but I'll keep searching eBay ;D

Default Gear Knob

Did you ever find this gear knob? I ordered one recently with the part number you listed and I received the same older round one just with the perforated leather....

No, and I quit looking. Now I want a wooden one, to match the hypotethical wood/leather steering wheel I also want

I'm sorry for that, do you think you can return it? Same thing happened to me with the trunk lid storage compartment; the part number in the official accessories brochure was wrong and I ended up with an XJ bumper bracket thing. Perhaps the dealer I got the item number from was wrong, but I did send them the photo that I put in the first post in this thread, and they did speak of it superseding the earlier ones...

I ended up keeping it since my old one was old and torn lol. But that's funny same thing happened to me with trunk accessory, I ordered a net and ended up with a luggage retainer. The guy told me it was a catalog error. Seems like they need to update their part numbers in their catalog...
