Here's their shop including interior like leather seats, wood dash, etc.

The twin taillight option is unique.

The X400 X-Type Jaguar styling is reminiscent of 70's-80's Jaguar.. wait for it.. XJ (Series 1,2, and 3, and even the XJ40/X300/X308X350 designs) quad (4-headlights). It has a Gorgeous profile (as does IMHO; the Mercedes CLS).

Is it a fire-breathing 0-60 in 4-sec 1/4-mile car.. No. Does it have the accouterments of the S-Type or XJ (X350).. No.

Does it look and feel every bit a Jaguar to me? Having owned and worked on 3.8, 4.0, 5.3HE (DIY) these cars for oh... 30-years or so..

Amen. Owning two now, and having owned 4 Jags previously, their styling is somewhat of an acquired taste. I was considering the Mina grille, and removing the leaper so it would have a more modern look, but decided that I would keep it true to its era and enjoy it as is. Regardless of its Ford Mondeo roots, it is still a Jaguar in its DNA (which is a good-news/bad news situation) but enjoyable (most of the time.).

I like the styling of the original X type best. I don't know why so many people slate it.

Do I like the Callum era XE (or any of those models)- absolutely not, I'm left totally underwhelmed by those models.

Eventually, if I am able to keep the rust at bay, I'd like to get some Barbados Alloys
