I'm waving the white flag
Hello all my X-Type friends,
After a several years tried to fix my Red 04 X-Type, now I have to said "I give up"; After she was over heat and blew the head gaskets, then I got a stroke and let her sat in my garage for a couple of years until I recovered about 75%. After replaced the head gaskets and reset the timing, put it back together I found out the engine block blew a hole (probably when it was over heat) in the back near the starter. I have no other choice but replace the engine. because my garage was small and low ceiling, it took me almost two year to removed everything and figured it out how to removed the engine out to put the new engine in without the engine's hoist. To make the story short; I have been reset the timing three times, replaced the ignition coils, and fuel injections; each of them three times, and not counting the wiring harness, and the car still doesn't run right. I love the X-Type, but I'm not getting any younger, 71years old and half cripple with the stroke, I can't keep climb up and crawling under the car any more. If any one want to buy to fix it, let me know, or if you want just the engine I'll take it out of the car one last time for you. The car is in good shape, engine is good if some one know how to set the timing, lots of extra parts, extra set of front seats with memory driver seat.
the car: Burgundy 04 X-Type, 3.0L gasoline
