Default Immobiliser reset

My jag x-type 2002 model overheated, and when I cooled it down the immobiliser kicked in and won't let me start the car. I get a clicking sound like the doors are locking and unlocking.
Can I reset the immobiliser to get the car to the dealer?

Sounds like the battery is low or maybe the engine is seized and the starter is engaging but can't turn the engine?????

X-Types suffer from batteries cracking at the earth (negative) terminal and the electrolyte leaks causing corrosion and battery failure. I would inspect the cables and have the battery tested first. If the battery checks good then you will need a scan of the modules to see if the security system has been activated to immobilize the vehicle. The keyfob transmitter should reset the security system.
