Default IMT units.

Just changed the sparkers on the 2.1. What a PITA task that is, give me a V12 any day.

Anyway, done and dusted, BUT, I noted it only has 1 (one) IMT unit, right at the end of the track near the front of the engine, basically over 1A coil.

The parts catalogue (JEPC) lists 2 for that engine.

My Vin is J63537, and a Dec 09 build date.

Is this normal on the 2.1, and the JEPC is wrong?.

Engine is fine, and no missing loom plugs etc, and no alien holes covered in the manifold, so I know it is how it was made, just wondering, thats all.

Thanks in advance as always.

I know what PITA is but what's IMT when it's at home.

Aren't the IMT's on a 2.1 left and right on top of manifold as compared to both together one above the other on the right side on a 2.5 or 3.0?

3.0 IMT

2.1 engine

Steve,

IMT = Inlet Manifold Tuning units, OR, electrical flappy thingies that vary the intake air path depending where your right foot is at.

Dell,

Yep, both the S Types have 2 as described, and I have done the o/rings.

There is only the one on the X at the very end of the plenum type thingy, and nothing anywhere near the throttle body, and no stray plugs either.

Maybe we got the "poverty pack" version??????

I will take snaps later, as work is calling my number right now.
