The first essential which not surprisingly is far from obvious to many Jaguar buyers - is your X-Type definitely Bluetooth equipped? All Jaguars have the phone controls fitted but very few original buyers chose to have the very expensive Bluetooth option.

Bought and installed the Bovee1000 and it worked right away..
Andriod phone and I used Mixcloud for music and Waze for gps..
I can also control the mix selection from steering wheel as well.
Pretty cool gadget for under $100 shipped with cable.. :-)
