Ipod problem, My 1st Post
Hi Gang,
I bought my '06 Wagon a little over a year ago. I have a bunch of vintage stuff, but need a competent, reliable, comfortable driver. I replaced my much loved XJ40, it just had too many little issues, altho it was running strong and reliably.
I've been reading the board for months, and did try a search with no luck.
Anyhow, since I like the X type, and use it often, I got an ipod to make the experience perfect.
It's newish so it has a lightning connector and I'm using an official Apple adapter.
All was just great until a few days ago. Now the ipod won't play thru the car audio, and the display reads CDC 99. I can advance it using the dash or steering wheel controls, but it reverts to 99 in a few seconds.
I tried disconnecting the car battery, for about 45 minutes, but no joy!
Any ideas?
Thanks, Alan

I dont have a fix. But my iPhone 5s plays but will not charge. I went onto ebay, bought a ipod4, and use that for my music. I've also put a Sirius radio in the ash tray.
If you find a fix please post it here.

Didn't need a code for the radio, luckily. How do I get it, if needed in the future?
Thanks, Alan
FIXED!!
I decided to go outside the box, and consult the ACM manual. It advised to reboot the iPod. Found the ridiculously simple procedure on line, and voila, I'm back in business.
Cheers, Alan
