Default Jag xtype 2003

My battery was drained a few times i just replaced with a new battery. I have noticed that when the car is turned off i can hear a very low humming noise from around the steering wheel or the dash,,,what could that possibly be and could it be draining my battery?

+1 aspirator fan. It coes on when you open the door andd shuts down about 15 minutes after you exit the car.
Take a close look at the ignition switch. There should be a small door covering the hole where the key inserts. If it sticks open then the electronics will not power down.
You can also take a cell phone on put it on video and shut it inside the trunk and glove box to insure thhe lamps are powering down.
