Hi guys, I've just recently bought a jaguar x type 2001 2.5 v6 gasoline.

I tried the car out about a month ago and it started fine. The owner said the only problem was the oxygen sensor, which I understand is a common problem.

I went today to pick it up and it won't start. He said yesterday it was fine.

What has me worried is that despite jumping pins 3 and 5 on the starter relay she still won't fully start. It tries but nothing. I even connected my other car onto to it. Nothing... She turns over but nothing.

But I also noticed on the cluster only the oil and airbag lights come on. The fuel gage doesn't move, nothing. Plus initially when trying to start the car the centre console light was flashing red, so I reprogrammed the key fob. Now despite trying several times to do it again it doesn't seem to reprogram...

Is there something I'm missing? Everything I've tried I have read on this forum, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Any suggestions? If it's the cluster can I repair it? How can I tell?
