My name is kelvin and I am new to this , this is my second jag I love these cars just the way they perrr down the street demanding to be looked act. I have ran into a problem when I turn car on its beautiful when I get to stop signs or a red light the car starts to jump and the rpm jumps not to much and turns off they told me it was alternator so I changed it it keeps happning always when the car stops like it has no power

Please help

Have the battery load tested. You may have been sold an alternator when what you needed was a battery.

Thank you bud il will get it tested but if it comes back fine what els could be the problem

One option is a bad ground connection. Check both ends of the battery cables for a clean connection.

Thank you for responding so fast I will have both checked tomorrow by a chance do you know how to replace those wires

If it's not the battery then the battery cables are a know issue.




The ground cable (item 7) has been reported to break at the connections circled in red.

Thank you GGG for responding just went to auto store to get the cables now I need to find instructions on how to replace if any body has info on this it would be greatly appreciated

Just changed the negative cable thanks once agian for everything hope that's it ..... Does any one know how to install hid lights for dim and low beams ??
